Modern Conscience Wood Shockmount Adhesive has been specifically tested to perform best in the application of a Modern Conscience shockmount to wood surfaces like the plywood panels of the Eames molded plywood series and Eames Lounge. It is a clear gel that reaches full cure strength in about 48 hours.

Modern Conscience Wood Shockmount Adhesive is specifically recommended in conjunction with Modern Conscience shockmounts, as it has been tested specifically for this purpose. Modern Conscience Adhesive Activator is also recommended to make the process go quickly and smoothly. One bottle will provide enough adhesive to replace 8-12 standard round shockmounts, 4-6 Eames Lounge shockmounts, or 4-6 DCW/LCW lozenge style shockmounts.

Modern Conscience Adhesive Activator can be used with both the Fiberglass and Wood Shockmount Adhesives. This product is used to accelerate Modern Conscience Adhesive. It makes the process of shockmount repair go smoothly and quickly by eliminating the need for clamping or taping and holds the shockmount in an exact position during the 48 hour cure time of the adhesive. One bottle of activator will take care of 16-20 shockmounts depending on how many drips are used.

Modern Conscience Adhesive Remover will dissolve cured Modern Conscience Adhesive within a few minutes. It can be used to correct repair mistakes as well as to separate fingers that have gotten stuck together with Modern Conscience Adhesive.

Eames Lounge Unfinished Rosewood Lower Backrest. This new unfinished rosewood backrest is made from fresh rosewood veneer, which means the restorer must have the expertise to match the wood to the original backrest. This requires a very high amount of skill - we cannot overstate this enough, this is a very difficult process in most cases. The restorer must be comfortable in all methods and aspects of wood matching including, but not limited to staining, bleaching, fuming, etcetera. We send sample swatches cut from the waste of the exact same veneer to aid in practice matching. The four mounting holes for the back braces are pre-drilled. The shockmounts for the lower backrest are included and mounted. You will also want to be sure that the two shockmounts on the seat panel are replaced - you don't want to leave any aging and overstressed parts on the chair that are due to fail. We will be in touch with you soon after your order with options for you to choose the exact piece of rosewood veneer.

A replacement lower backrest for the iconic Rosewood Eames Lounge made with real hardwood rosewood to perfectly match the original broken backrest. The backrest is custom made to match your chair using the original panel, which you send in. We are able to ensure the most accurate match to the grain pattern, finish, color, tone, and sheen of the original panel by having it there while we make the new panel. All wood oxidizes and changes over time, sometimes also dramatically fading depending on sun exposure. If you are outside of the United States, and therefore sending in the original panel is not financially possible, we can match the broken ear as an alternative - but please be aware this adds extra time to the process as it is much more time consuming to match such a small reference piece.

Custom Eames Lounge Button. Comparatively, a small number of Eames Lounges were made in leather other than black. Modern Conscience offers replacement buttons for custom leather colors. To take advantage of this service you will need to remove the armrest from your Eames Lounge and cut small piece of leather from the concealed area under the armrest. Send us the small sample and we'll source leather and make a button to match.

Eames Lounge and Ottoman Upholstery Cushion Back. A replacement cushion back and zipper in matching plastic. Modern Conscience makes these back panels in all original options and styles. The panel comes with the zipper pre-sewn onto the backer, and ready to sew on to the leather. This challenging task should be performed by a competent upholsterer. Snaps are included. Clips are not included.

Eames Lounge and Ottoman Cushion Zipper. This is a replacement zipper for the cushions of the Eames Lounge and ottoman. This is the correct style separating zipper that allows the leather cover to be completely separated from the rigid backer. This repair requires an industrial sewing machine in order to sew the new zipper onto the rigid backer and the original leather. The old zipper will need to be entirely removed.

Eames Lounge and Ottoman Upholstery Fill. Replacement fill for Eames Lounge and Ottoman cushions. The fill for the seat and ottoman cushions is a high density, US made, upholstery foam wrapped in batting. The fill for the upper and lower backrests is high density batting. Extra batting is included with your order so that you may tuck extra bits around the perimeter to develop the correct form of the cushion.

This style fill is for the 'poofier' style Eames Lounge and Ottomans (those dating to the 1960's), not the earliest versions with the 'flatter' down filled cushions (those dating to the 1950's). Use this fill to replace fill that has broken down and is deteriorating. Do not use this fill to make and older 1950's lounges with the flat style cushions 'poofy.' This is because the older style with the flat cushions are a different pattern and the leather has literally been sewn in a flatter shape.

Replacement Eames Lounge Upholstery Fill - Large Cushion Fill (fits either the seat or ottoman)

Eames Lounge Armrest Screws. Screws that will perfectly match the originals; they were originally available in either fine or coarse thread. Eames Lounge and Ottoman sets made prior to the 1970's will require fine thread base screws and those that are newer will require coarse thread screws.

Replacement Eames Lounge Armrest Screw (Fine Thread) - One Screw

Eames Lounge Base Screws. Eames Ottoman Base Screws. Screws that will perfectly match the originals; they were originally available in either fine or coarse thread. Eames Lounge and Ottoman sets made prior to the 1970's will require fine thread base screws and those that are newer will require coarse thread base screws.

Eames Lounge Base Screw Washers. Some of the base screws for the Eames Lounge included a split washer. This washer perfectly matches the originals and will replace those washers that are so easily lost if the chair is ever disassembled.

Eames Lounge Swivel Bushing. This is a new solid bronze swivel bushing. This bushing replaces damaged or worn plastic or bronze swivel bushings in all Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller 670 Lounge swiveling bases. If you do not have an authentic Eames Lounge made by Herman Miller or Vitra, this will not fit your chair. You will need appropriate tools to install this part - if in doubt, contact a professional.

Modern Conscience All-Purpose Restoration Kit. This fantastic kit includes everything you'll need to condition fiberglass, wood, leather, metal, and plastic. This is the same paste wax we use in-house and it's an essential in the restorer's tool kit.

This paste wax is a versatile finish. It provides a rich, satiny luster. The restorer has a great deal of control over the finished product with sheen ranging from a hand buffed matte, all the way to a mechanically polished gloss. Use paste wax to create your own signature finish.

This kit is also a must for routine cleaning and conditioning. Use it to keep your priceless collection in gorgeous condition.

A half pint of our paste wax, instructions, wet sandpaper, dry sandpaper, an abrasive pad, steel wool and lint-free cloths are included. Each kit includes enough product to handle several pieces of furniture, such as a set of eight dining chairs, a dining table, and a credenza.

Modern Conscience Wood Restoration Kits. These handy little kits contain everything you'll need to restore the wood finish on your classic pieces. These are the same products we use in-house. The kits contain a 1/2 pint of either raw tung oil, tung oil finish, or waxed base solution. We all three methods for such restoration in-house. These are all industry standards for wood finish conditioning and restoration. The tung oil finish will require fewer coats to quickly achieve a medium gloss. While a wax based solution gives the restorer more freedom to build a finish ranging from matte to gloss over more time with several coats. Raw tung oil requires the most patience with several days long dry time between coats and lots of buffing required.

Instructions, sandpaper, steel wool, and lint-free cloths are also included. Each kit includes enough product to handle an average restoration for four to six chairs. If a more aggressive restoration is required plan for the kit to handle about two chairs.
