The Eames aluminum Group series is a pinnacle of achievement in Modern furniture design. The elegant curves of the cast aluminum components are striking against the innovative naugahyde sling.

This particular example is the earliest version of the lounge having the earlier 'ET' style four-star contract base and more compact and encapsulated tilt mechanism. The tilt mechanism in this chair has been replaced and is ready for decades more enjoyable use.

The condition is consistent with it's age and use. The corners have some slight wear. There are no rips and the sling is taught and comfortable. The base swivels cleanly. All of the original floor glides are present. The Herman Miller Mark is present and is cast into the aluminum frame.
