Modern Conscience has more than 20 years combined experience lovingly restoring your priceless mid-century pieces as if they were our own. We also happily perform those much needed maintenance chores for your vintage pieces, such as periodic leather cleaning and conditioning, and wood finish oiling and conditioning. We have a number of restored pieces in our private collection that you are welcome to view by appointment.

Please keep in mind we are often working in our noisy shop and we are typically able to answer e-mails more quickly than phone calls. You don’t want us to ruin the time-sensitive finish on that red aniline Eames LCW do you? The best time to catch us is between 10am and 2pm Pacific, Monday through Friday. We’ve set aside this window of time to pay attention to the phone, the noisy shop tends to prevent it otherwise.
Please also be aware that we must tend to our customers needs and if you’re asking for some general advice, such as age, designer, or interesting info, there may be a delay in our reply. We get hundreds of questions a day and we do our best to field them all in a timely manner.
